With the continuous development of China's economy, the domestic demand for high-performance flame retardant rubber is increasing, especially the development of wire and cable industry and automotive parts manufacturing industry, which has driven the consumption demand for rubber CPE. Rubber CPE is a kind of special synthetic rubber with excellent comprehensive performance, heat resistance, ozone aging and flame retardancy. It is mainly used in wire and cable (cable for coal mine, UL and VDE standards), hydraulic hose, hose for vehicle, tape, plywood, PVC profile pipe modification, magnetic material, ABS modification and so on. Rubber CPE has the following characteristics:

1. Rubber CPE is white powder, non-toxic and tasteless. It has excellent weather resistance, ozone resistance, chemical resistance and aging resistance. It has good oil resistance, flame retardancy and coloring performance. It has good toughness (still flexible at - 30 C), good compatibility with other macromolecule materials, high decomposition temperature, decomposition to produce HCl, HCL can catalyze the dechlorination reaction of CPE.

2. Rubber type CPE is made from high density polyethylene (HDPE) by chlorination reaction.

3, rubber CPE has excellent heat and oxygen aging, ozone aging, acid and alkali resistance, and chemical properties. CPE has excellent oil resistance, among which ASTM No. 1 oil and ASTM No. 2 oil have excellent oil resistance, which is equivalent to NBR; ASTM No. 3 oil has excellent oil resistance, which is superior to CR and is equivalent to CSM.

4. CPE of chlorinated polyethylene contains chlorine, which has excellent flame retardancy and anti-dropping characteristics. Combining with antimony flame retardant, chlorinated paraffin and Al (OH) 3 in proper proportion, flame retardant materials with good flame retardancy and low cost can be obtained.

5, chlorinated polyethylene CPE is non-toxic, does not contain heavy metals and PAHS, which fully comply with environmental protection requirements.
